Florida's work release centers quietly going private -Tampa Bay Times

Translation: even though the Florida Legislature and court system have refused to approve prison privatization, Governor Rick Scott is trying to do it anyway.

I hope more people become aware of this - if his administration has put these contracts up for bid with no one noticing, what else is going on?
